Noise is a soul-destroying, consciousness-obliterating plague, for blocked composer George, whose story is told in a fast paced horror-thriller feature film. After some initial success in his 20’s, George is now the wrong side of 30, isolated and blocked. Mired in the London noise, George turns to a cult devoted to silence, The Refuge, receiving from them a hi-tech device that silences his noisy tormentors. Creatively freed, and his work now listened to, George ignores the device’s degenerating effect on people. It is only once the sickness affects George’s music that he breaks the silence and, with the help of cyber-anarchist DJ Ellie, tries to defy The Refuge.
