Jakob Rorvik graduated from the Fiction Direction MA course at the UK’s National Film and Television School (NFTS) in 2004/05.
His graduation film Vanilla Song (aka: The Ice Cream Movie) was selected for competition at the Cannes Film Festival 2005, Cinefondation.
Another short, Willow Drive, has screened at more than 30 festivals. The film received a jury distinction in Brest and won the “Best Actress Award” in Milan (for the wonderful Anna Livia Ryan).
In 2006 Jakob was invited to Jeanne Moreau’s workshop in Angers, France to develop his feature film script.
Since 2007 Jakob has been working consistently on Scratch and developing feature film scripts with the support of the Norwegian State Filmmakers Grant and Filmkraft.
